I have spent much of the day doing bits of planning for the Ilour System, well at least Ilour I. Ilour II and its horde of enemies, which I don't immediately remember what they were, will come later on in the narratives. I've mostly been taking care of the kid and thinking about how I want the setting to work - do I want a LitRPG-style setting or do I want something else?
I asked the following question in several places online where I can discuss things, including with my lovely wife and my good friend Steven. The statement and questions I asked were:
Thoughts, which is narratively better:
- a world where monsters spontaneously appear based on some sort of mystical field, and "dungeons" naturally occur, providing rewards for delvers and challenges
- a more realistic world, where once you kill some monsters, others move in from elsewhere
As usual, my wife and the others were able to give me some insights and input to make the decision.
There will be a fire extinguisher item in Starfinder 2e Core!
